IM BACK WITH 3 EXPERIENCES IN ONE DAY
17/04/2007 by Peter Miller.
Hi, it’s been a while since i wrote a post, I have been much too busy but feel I need to relate the 3 experiences I had today. There are 2 strange ones and one that is ok.
Two of the experiences relate an an area of outstanding natural beauty close to where I live or we can just call it Cannock Chase.
As I was not at work today I thought, go to the Chase, take the camera and binoculars, do a spot of bird spotting, the feathered type of course.
Anyway there I am mooching around and finally made it to Chase Vista carpark, this being what seems to be one of the highest carparks in the vicinity.
Now, the Chase is well known for it’s abundant bird life and other wildlife e.g Deer of which there are several variates. I pulled on the carpark, my car I mean not a lady. Immediataly I saw what was a most unusual deer, so much so that I reconsidered my appraisal and thought “It’s a goat”. Yes a goat, just standing on the bank munching and sunbathing, a pleasant day out for a goat if ever there was one.
I did notice however, that there was a gentleman accompanying this goat and have since found out from a gentleman by the name of Bob from the Park Gate that someone does walk it over the chase as if it were a dog.
Here is a phot or 2 of the said goat

Expereience number 2, one that I do not wish to be repeated. On this carpark there are 2 other cars, a driver gets into one and leaves. A short while later a male driver gets into the other car, gets out again, takes a look around, gets back in his car and finally gets out again. Then, he starts making his way towards me, not a problem at this stage, he gets closer and closer. My window is open with me enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.
The converstaion goes something like this.
Man “Nice day”
Me “Yes not bad”
Man ” I am just enjoying the lovely weather”
Me “Yes so am I”
This guy is Welsh, not his fault, about 60, quite overweight. He is now 6 inches from my car. He looks in.
Man “I see you are wearing your shorts, I wish I had done the same”
Me “Yes, I am, it’s just the right weather, I think I may pop to the pub in a while”
Here is the stinger, I am trying not to look out of the window but my attention is drawn to what this guy is doing. OMG he has his hand buried deep in his pocket and he is caually strangling his turkey. What do I do now, NO WAY, time to go.
Me “I have to go to the pub now”. Quick engine start and leave him in the dust of the carpark with him uttering “Ok mate HAVE A NICE DAY”. I believe he would of been better off with the goat.
Third experience, finally manged to get the speak to Mel Galley of Whitesnake, Trapeze and Phenomena fame. I needed some information regarding a guy that used to be a guitarist in a band I was in, turns out he has connections with Mel Galley. Mel new him but could not shed light on any contact details. http://www.phenomenamusic.co.uk/page8.htm
The guy I was trying to get info about is Lee Small, check out same link above plus http://www.shyonline.co.uk/ and http://www.leesmall.co.uk/.
Lee if you ever read this, unlikely, get in touch
