Been Having A Think

Looking for some technically minded folk out there.  I have set up a blogger blog because I may change to that.  The reason is because my wordpress blog is hosted by my website provider.  It appears there is little scope to put plug -ins or add ons on my blog.  Does anyone know different to that.

If I use my new blogger blog is it possible to copy the wordpress blog over so I don’t lose any of the material I have put on there.  Would appreciate some help here or else it means starting from scratch.  It does appear though that blogger is more user friendly.

Mike, you got any ideas or do you know of someone that may be of assistance :0)

If I was you Pete I’d move over to Blogger leaving this blog up and running as a sort of old archive and link to it from your new blog.

    Probably the best idea

I know of someone recently who swapped blogs - I’m just trying to think who it is. In the meantime try Terry Fletcher at Terry’s Sandbox - he’s great with answering this kind of question.

Let me know how you go. By the way, my H post for this week is going to be on a subject close to your heart!

About a year ago lots of folk were complaining about blogger and shifting to wordpress; now it seems the pendulum has swung. From what I hear the free wordpress is a bit limiting — I’ve got one myself - http://cdpb.wordpress.com/ and it has certain advantages over blogger but for the most part I find blogger fairly workable these days. If you go for the full wordpress hosted on your own domain though it sounds as if wordpress still has the edge over blogspot.
I certainly don’t think I’d envisage building a blog with facebook or msn though.
